I really enjoyed working with them to sell my apartment. I especially appreciated the honesty and openness throughout the sales process. I also found the direct communication with the real estate agent and her colleagues to be excellent. It was a stressful time for me, and Zuidstad Makelaars still made the sale a smooth process. They also have extensive experience in the neighborhood where I sold my apartment (Rotterdam Zuid/Slinge), which allowed us to set a good asking price. I would recommend them to friends, family, and acquaintances.

I'd like to share my experience with Zuidstad Real Estate Agents. Unfortunately, it was anything but positive. First of all, a serious error was made in my purchase agreement. The contract stated the original asking price instead of the amount I had offered. This agreement had already been signed by both parties. I eventually discovered this myself and honestly informed them, as honesty is paramount to me. The difference was €8,000. Despite this major error, I received no apology or compensation whatsoever. I also viewed the house again, and it was mentioned that it came with a shed. However, there was no key available. The agent promised this would be arranged before signing, during the inspection. On the day of signing, a moment you eagerly anticipate as a 21-year-old, I asked if the key had been arranged. Fieke told me that the seller had tried to contact the neighbors but hadn't been successful, so there was no key. In other words: no key and not even a clear location of my shed. If I hadn't been aware of this myself, this would apparently have been my own problem. Fieke said she would call me back with a solution. Meanwhile, I was already on my way to the notary, who also indicated that I shouldn't sign if anything wasn't right. So I postponed the signing. Late that afternoon, Fieke called me saying she "wanted the keys now" and that we'd be far from home this way. The tone of voice was anything but pleasant, even though the mistakes were theirs. Ultimately, a new key was arranged through a neighbor, and the inspection could still take place that same afternoon. However, upon arrival, it turned out the real estate agent didn't know which shed was mine, which I find very strange for a real estate agent. He then tried all the doors with the available keys, but none fit. So a new key had to be made. It wasn't until the next day that I finally received the correct key for the shed. As a "make-up," I received a chocolate, which is apparently standard practice. My advice: find a different real estate agent. This company works sloppily, communicates poorly, and doesn't take clients seriously.
