We had strong interest in the property at Eindhoven and were actively discussing our potential offer range. However, our experience during the showing was extremely disappointing. The individual showing the home provided very little information, restricted our ability to properly view the space, and overall made us feel unwelcome. Unfortunately, the interaction left us with the impression of discriminatory behavior, which significantly impacted our perception of the opportunity. I initially met Alex, the owner of the real estate agency Woonhub, and was impressed by his professionalism and commitment to delivering quality service. Based on this, we decided to hire him as our representative to sell my property. However, once we officially started the selling process, his business partner, Marten, took over the representation—something I had never agreed to. From the beginning, the process was poorly handled. The property brochure contained multiple errors, despite us providing all the correct documentation. The suggested selling price also became a point of contention. Marten pushed for a significantly lower price than what the property was worth, making it seem like he was only interested in a quick and easy sale rather than getting the best deal in a strong seller’s market. Fortunately, my wife and I insisted on a higher price than what Marten recommended. Additionally, the information listed on Funda was completely incorrect, despite us providing the right details. Simple yet crucial details, such as the construction year, were wrong, which was incredibly frustrating. Beyond this, I work at a company where many employees are actively looking for homes, so I personally shared the listing internally. Six colleagues reached out with interest but faced issues reaching Woonhub. Some were promised call-backs that never happened. Even though I had explicitly arranged for a set number of viewings to be reserved for my colleagues, the handling of these requests was unprofessional. Those who did get a viewing complained about Marten’s poor representation—he refused to show key parts of the property, such as the storage room, bike storage, and the electrical cabinet. The buyer who ultimately won the bid also shared her disappointment. She found Marten to be unfriendly and uninformed about the property. If it weren’t for her father advising her to ignore the bad representation and focus on the property itself, she wouldn’t have even placed a bid. When I addressed these concerns with Alex and Marten, they completely dismissed the feedback. However, with so many complaints from my colleagues, the buyer, and my own experience, it’s clear that Woonhub lacks quality and professionalism. To top it off, on the day of signing over the house, Alex showed up but didn’t even bring a small celebratory gesture—like a bottle of champagne—not for me, but for the buyer, who was making her first-ever home purchase. Instead, Alex claimed he prefers to send a customized chocolate house rather than the traditional champagne. Months later, neither the buyer nor I ever received anything. Another example of their inconsistency. Ultimately, I feel bad for Alex, who has a terrible business partner, but also disappointed in him for committing to be my representative and then handing me off to someone else. The experience was frustrating from start to finish. Terrible representation, poor quality of work—absolutely NOT recommended!

Very bad agency. We bought a house that was being sold by this agency. We experienced the worst communication during the process. They did not answer any call or any email. Our real estate agent couldn't reach them. No clarification at all in the contract, in the conditions, in anything. I would definitely not work with for buying or selling, and strongly advice everyone not to work with them.

Very unprofessional Makelaar. Not familiar with the house he was selling to us or just not interested. Seemed like it was his partime job. We discovered by ourselves that there was a heat pump in the house…. Very difficult to arrange the second visit to the house after our bidding was accepted. Took us ages to get all the house details and questionaire. Only after stating we would quit the deal, the documents were sent to us. (Owners trusted the selling of the house to the Makelaar since not living in the country). Finally after a long time the deal was closed. The Makelaar came to final inspection and had to leave very fast. And only one set of keys was handed over to us. No key for the garden door. We called the agency to inform them, they said they would call the Makelaar and call us back. This never happened.
