Long story short: this company provides poor service, consistently fails to honor agreements, is not transparent about extra costs, withholds money, communicates very poorly, and is absolutely not customer-friendly. After comparing several companies, we chose the moving company "De Aandacht" from Zoetermeer. On moving day itself, we received a call after the agreed-upon time to say the moving van had broken down and the move couldn't go ahead. They couldn't arrange another van, not even from a partner company. Meanwhile, we were sitting with a baby in a house full of packed belongings. They were only annoyed, but we didn't receive an apology or any compensation for the moving costs. The next day, the movers showed up over an hour and fifteen minutes late. Anyway, the move could begin. Everything fit perfectly in a small moving van, and everything was in our new house in Amersfoort within the agreed-upon time. When we left, the owner called to tell us we had to pay an additional call-out fee. They weren't allowed to leave without payment. However, these costs were already included in the invoice itself, so we had already paid. The audacity to charge for this again when you're being moved just a day later is truly ridiculous. Only when we got angry did they waive the extra charge. So much for the move. Then came the moving boxes (and three blankets plus a forgotten sweater). Within four weeks of the move, we repeatedly requested the boxes be picked up, but they weren't finally collected until over three months later. Until then, we served as free storage. They were supposed to transfer the deposit that same day, but of course, that didn't happen. After numerous texts and phone calls, they offered to transfer €100 (the deposit was €137.50). Providing such poor service and then unfairly demanding more money again – unbelievable! In the end, we agreed on €120, even though we were entitled to the full deposit. We didn't get that amount back until three weeks later. Conclusion: absolutely do not do business with this company. They try to rip you off in every way and have no respect for their customers.
