Tinkerers Van Velzen and Van Gilst sold and installed a central heating boiler in May 2023 for €2,750. After installation, an invoice arrived for €3,695. So, €945 more...turned out to be extra work. Nothing about this was mentioned in the quote. After complaining about this, an agitated Van Velzen visited. "The extra work turned out to be incorrect. No apology was given!" Winter arrived, and then it turned out the system wasn't working properly. The technician came and thought it was the distributor, so they installed a new one. Unfortunately, no improvement, and it was a waste of money! We asked the manufacturer's service technician for advice! He concluded that the system wasn't configured correctly and a pressure vessel was missing. We had already spent €4,985 on this system!!! (boiler, extra work, distributor, and manufacturer's advice) The report didn't reach Van Velzen very well. A grumpy Van Velzen visited us. He thought he was completely blameless! He offered a partial service, only costing €275. But you have to pay upfront! After all that fiddling, we opted for a different installer, who resolved the issue perfectly! Never again will we go to these idiots.
