In October 2024, I first contacted this company. The positive reviews made it seem like a good and reliable company. Unfortunately, we haven't had a good experience with them. That, too, needs to be said. Erik, the owner of Oosterwijk Interieur, is poor at communication and honoring agreements. After our initial contact in October 2024, we had to request our quote ourselves, which we received a month later. Erik was supposed to start renovating our bathroom at the beginning of February. This ended up being a week later because his colleague was sick. After we purchased all the materials ourselves, without any advice, there was quite a bit of criticism about what we had purchased. After Erik spent three days complaining, moaning, and groaning about it, he finally managed to create the bathroom with the materials we had purchased. If you're a layperson and have to purchase materials, you shouldn't complain as a professional if they're not to your liking. Otherwise, you should have done more research into the materials you purchased. I think so. We had made a combined appointment for the bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom renovation was finished after a week. At that point, Erik was promised to return for the kitchen at the end of March. He asked us to purchase the materials as soon as possible, so he could start sooner. We did. The kitchen renovation was also a (small) one. But as I mentioned before, the communication was poor. Meanwhile, it was the end of March 2025 and we hadn't heard or seen anything from Erik van Oosterwijk. So we contacted him again to arrange the kitchen renovation. This appointment was still open. But no matter what I tried, I couldn't get in touch with Erik van Oosterwijk 😑🙃. We finally got in touch in mid-April. However, Erik had told us that his colleague was sick and that he probably wouldn't be able to renovate our kitchen this year. SERIOUSLY! That's how you treat your customers! And again, using the excuse that your colleague is sick. If you say anything about it, he says coldly, "If you don't believe me, can I give you my colleague's phone number?!? Seriously?!?! Be professional! By the way, what business does that have on my side as a customer? Absolutely nothing! Be professional and keep your promises! Whatever's going on at your workplace, I shouldn't suffer as a customer. But that's not how it works with Erik van Oosterwijk. Besides, you really thought we were going to wait another year, or have to wait until you finally have time to finish our kitchen renovation! How pale! I didn't think so. He made us buy the materials as soon as possible, with a warranty that expired after a year, and then didn't help us! He left us hanging! Not keeping your promises is a good thing. He doesn't keep his promises, he's never heard of communication, and then leaves you stranded with the new materials. So we demanded that he return the order to us in writing, and he didn't honor his agreements. And they started looking for a new client. This is so bad, that's no way to treat customers!! Never again from Oosterwijk to Oud Beijerland for us!!!😝😝😝😝😝

Eric and his team built our bathroom and toilet, and it turned out fantastic! He's a great resource and offers practical suggestions for the layout. He also has an eye for detail, such as ensuring the marble pattern flows seamlessly into the tiles.
