Left 20+ potential tenants (who took time off of work to be there) waiting in the cold for half an hour, then said they had overslept and would only arrive after another 30 minutes. Unreliable and unprofessional.

I have used Van Herk Makelaardij twice now, and have nothing but positive remarks. Excellent customer service, and extremely friendly staff who are prepared to go above and beyond to find a property suited to your needs.

I was interested in a commercial property offered for rent by Van Herk. The first time, they requested a Chamber of Commerce registration and promised to call back the next day, but every day I was promised they'd call back, so I called again. After four days of calling, I finally got through to the right person, and I had to submit my annual figures. I asked if I could expect a response within the foreseeable future, as I had also been offered another property, but I wasn't as impressed with it as the one Van Herk offered. I was promised a call back within two days. I called every day for a week, as they promised me they'd call me back. After a week, I finally got through to the right person, and I was able to view the property. During the viewing, I told them the property was perfect for me, but that I needed a quick response because the owner of the other property couldn't wait much longer. He said he would do his best, and two weeks later, I received a call telling me someone else had been selected. Ultimately, I lost out on the other property as well, and so I was strung along for a month, with numerous missed callbacks. This was almost a month ago, and the property is still available for rent.

They called us because they wanted an offer on the last day of bidding. We agreed to consult with our advisor first. They politely waited until after the weekend. On the day in question, we were told we were apparently the only people interested in the house and that it could even be lowered below the asking price. We submitted an offer, and they accepted. We agreed to call again in the afternoon for further discussion, only to be told it was a miscommunication from a colleague. And fifteen minutes later, the house was relisted for the offer we had made. Never before had we experienced anything like it. We were incredibly happy all morning, only to experience such a disappointment in the afternoon. We thought we were about to buy our first dream home.
