Erik van Gerven is a skilled man who delivers solid constructions. Unfortunately, he does not listen very well and becomes resentful when he is not proven right. For instance, the kitchen countertop was damaged during the installation of window frames (it had only been in place for 6 weeks). When he was confronted about this, he deliberately installed the window sills incorrectly. He also failed to follow the construction drawings for an extension, instead using measurements from a similar property. We pointed this out to him in a timely manner, but he refused to adjust the profiles he had already built. As a result, we were never able to properly arrange the interior spaces; the walls had to be positioned in such a way that the rooms were of little use.
