Over 12 years ago, I came to Van Bruggen Het Gooi because I needed a mortgage to buy a house. I was employed, already had a mortgage in my name, and everything was arranged smoothly. In our search for a new home, we went to Van Bruggen again. Our first appointment was almost a year and a half ago, and we crunched the numbers to determine our price range. We bid on several houses, but unfortunately, we never had the winning bid... Until a few months ago, that is! We're always quite cautious. If someone says we can borrow, for example, €900,000, we'll search for a maximum of €650,000, and we make sure we're well prepared by making sure we already have a mortgage advisor. So, we knew the borrowing amount seemed "a piece of cake!" and stayed well below that (as in, say, €100,000) with our offer. Bank "X" was approached, but we were rejected... Then we "quickly" had to get an income statement drawn up because my husband is self-employed. No sooner said than done. But that also failed, and we didn't receive an income statement! Then, less than a week before the financing condition expired, I received an email from Van Bruggen saying they unfortunately couldn't help us (and did we even remember the deadline?), and that was it... Now, I was fortunate that our buyer's agent had a really good mortgage advisor who was able to arrange a mortgage, even through bank "X." We ultimately went with a different agency, but we had multiple offers. There are some written reasons why we were initially rejected by bank "X," but why didn't any of those points pose a problem when applying through a different mortgage advisor? In the meantime, we have the key and are busy working on the property, but I'd like to spare others the enormous amount of stress I experienced 😉. If they had told us beforehand that an income statement (I didn't know it existed for self-employed people) might be useful, we would have requested it sooner. Then we would have had more time and better preparation for that application, or we would have known we had to pause our search for a while. But now everything seemed "easy," but it wasn't at all. Well, at least not with Van Bruggen. And the news that you have to let go of the house you bought with a conditional purchase, is doing that by email really the best way? Are you happily employed, and is everything always the same? Then I think you can safely go to Van Bruggen. Are you self-employed, do you have your own business, or is there something else entirely? Stichtse Rentmeester in Bilthoven is highly recommended, even if your situation seems hopeless! 🙃 *********** NB: In response to the comment below. The documents Van Bruggen had were sent to the next advisor, and exactly zero documents were added. So, claiming the documents were incomplete is a bit of a nonsense. Also, the other circumstances were exactly the same (the old and the new house), but that wasn't a reason to reject us with the new application. So, it seems to me that it's in the application itself. I could have responded to the email, of course, but what would have been the point? I'd rather spend that time on someone who can handle it, and the fact that it was communicated by email made me absolutely furious and insane. So, the best thing was not to respond. Now we had to arrange the mortgage in a week after our dream house almost slipped through our fingers. But thankfully, we managed it, despite Van Bruggen.

Our experience with Real Estate Agency Van Bruggen Het Gooi was downright disappointing. From the outset, they provided incorrect information, and what was promised verbally ("A") turned out to be something completely different in practice ("B"). This doesn't inspire confidence, especially with a purchase of this size. Furthermore, the process was noticeably rushed, as if we were buying a stick of butter instead of a house. We expected a real estate agent in this region to be much more professional, transparent, and customer-focused. Unfortunately, this wasn't met. We wouldn't recommend them.

I have received very pleasant assistance for 12 years with various financial matters in my life. Think of divorce, buying a house, and a regular check on my finances, which we always do together. It makes things clear. Always approachable, thinking along with the situations, and never giving pushy advice. Absolutely recommended for the more difficult matters in life.
