We had a deeply disappointing experience with Tysma Makelaars! Our offer on a property was accepted, and we proceeded with full diligence - applying for a mortgage, completing all required steps, and maintaining open communication throughout. Unfortunately, our mortgage was rejected due to an issue with the property (a right of way / erfdienstbaarheid), which made the house unacceptable as collateral for the bank. As per the purchase agreement, we lawfully terminated the contract within the set deadline and submitted all required documentation, including the official bank rejection. From that point on, however, our experience with Tysma Makelaars became very concerning. The agent attempted to unilaterally extend the mortgage deadline without our consent and even suggested we should resubmit our mortgage application using an outdated and invalid employer’s statement - something our mortgage advisor confirmed would be considered fraudulent. When we refused to take part in this, we felt pressured and blamed for simply following the law and the terms of the contract. Throughout the process, we experienced a lack of professionalism, transparency, and integrity. Instead of supporting a fair and lawful resolution, the agency appeared more interested in forcing a quick sale, regardless of the legal or ethical implications. Buying or selling a home is a significant life decision, and you expect honesty and integrity from an estate agent. Sadly, that was not our experience with Tysma Makelaars.

Our daughter and son-in-law made a serious offer on a house they desperately wanted to buy. The seller gave verbal approval through the real estate agent, which we – as parents – assumed in good faith that the house would be awarded to them. To our surprise, it turned out that the house was sold for a higher bid after all. While this is legally possible as long as no deed of sale has been signed, we believe it is morally wrong to first make a commitment and then switch to a higher bidder. At a time when young people are already struggling in the housing market, real estate agents – especially as intermediaries – should pay more attention to transparency, careful communication, and maintaining integrity during the sales process. Trust and morals are just as important to a successful home transaction as signatures and contracts. Unfortunately, that line was not respected in this case.

Had a bad experience with him, he doesn't do what he says he will. The seller gave clear instructions. He never contacted me again. Fortunately, I was able to make good arrangements through a different real estate agent. He's driving prices through the roof. Apparently, he can't listen.
