Last year, I had Berend and his son over about ten times to help with all the installation work in my new home. There was a lot of time pressure because my wife was about to give birth. That's not something you'd want to do during a construction project. From leaks to a new meter box, from all the plumbing for the new kitchen to integrating the heat pump with the new central heating boiler, Berend and his son did a fantastic job. Even problems I wasn't aware of were clearly communicated, and each issue was assessed to determine whether it needed to be addressed. We also looked for other qualified people who could help with things like plastering or replacing a faulty sliding door with French doors. Berend knew a few good people I'll definitely call again in the future. I'm incredibly grateful to Berend and his son for everything they did for me and my family in a very short, hectic period.

Berend and his son did a fantastic job on our new home. They were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Without him, we wouldn't have been able to move into our new house on time.

Berend ten Hove is a bungler. If I could give him 0 stars, I would. My quote request was responded to quickly with a great price, but that's about all the positives. Before the installation, I asked if there was anything we needed to prepare, which we didn't. On the first day of installation, Berend arrived with his son and was incredibly grumpy. When he discovered that the cabinets still needed to be put in place, he grumbled that they should have been moved aside. When I pointed out that I'd asked if we needed to prepare anything and he'd said no, he responded with, "Surely you could have figured this out yourself?" The tone was set. They looked at where the pipes should go, and he wanted to run a pipe about 30 cm below the attic ceiling, like a kind of horizontal bar. That didn't seem like a good idea to me. Fortunately, my husband came up with a better idea, and this crazy plan was scrapped. I was on edge during the installation days, as it was definitely not pleasant. After each installation day, I could scrub the mud marks off the stairs and floors because no one cared for the mess and no one cleaned up/tidied them up. Shortly after the installation, the first malfunctions started. Before that, the company was unreachable. The phone wasn't answered, and no one returned calls. WhatsApp messages were occasionally answered, but in a completely irrelevant way. When I told him he could come all week except Thursday morning, he said he would come Thursday morning. When I replied that that was clearly not possible and asked if there was an alternative, I never received a response. When, after much persuasion, I finally managed to get him to come because the condensate drain was leaking, the first thing he said was, "My son installed that." Doesn't seem interesting to me; he's responsible. Then he thought my son was standing too close (it was COVID-19) and snapped at him, "Get out of here, man!" And when my son recoiled in shock, "Never heard of corona?!" He repaired the leak, but unfortunately, it quickly started leaking again, and he was no longer available. I contacted another, more professional company, and after some investigation, they concluded that the air conditioning system hadn't been professionally installed and the "repair" was done with a part that wasn't designed for it. So, he was literally "McGuyvering" with a spare part he had lying around. Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing frequent malfunctions. Had I known this beforehand, I would never have done business with Berend ten Hove.

Called in for a leak where a sealant edge was unnecessarily replaced because it could have been anticipated that this wouldn't cause the leak. Also called in for a toilet and shower renovation, but I never received a response. Messages and voicemail were completely ignored!
