Very fast and professional service. I had quite a good experience with Start Solar (Levon). He examined and advised as independent without pushing for any sales, which i liked in the attitude. Installation was quick and BTW return was also nicely arranged without much hassle. Definitely recommended.

The phone number isn't working. The contact form on the website returns an error message. It's proving difficult to reach this company. It's frustrating for customers like me who want to report a defect. Could StartSolar let me know if they're still active and how to reach them?

It is my duty as a consumer to warn other potential customers about the extremely poor service provided by Start Solar. During the installation of our smart energy system (consisting of 16 solar panels, an inverter, a charging station, a home battery, and an EMMA system = smart energy management system), several serious technical and professional errors were made, which are unacceptable for a certified installer. Chronological overview of the identified defects: 1. Incorrect problem diagnosis – Repeated attempts were made to commission the system but were unsuccessful, which is why Start Solar assumed there was a "software issue" with Huawei. This, while the actual cause (hardware errors) was clearly demonstrable (by me). 2. Incorrect connection of UTP cable – Start Solar connected a UTP cable from the EMMA to the wrong router, making the system inoperable from the start. An apology has been offered for this. However, the fact remains that I had to find and resolve the problem myself. 3. Lack of knowledge regarding essential components – The installer was unaware that a dongle did not belong in the system. 4. Critical wiring error – Instead of connecting the correct UTP cable from the inverter, an incorrect cable was connected to the EMMA module, causing the system to malfunction again. An apology was only offered at the last minute. However, the fact remains that I had to find and solve the problem myself. 5. Incorrect wiring according to the diagram – The PV cables were connected at the top of the EMMA, even though this is an output and not an input, contrary to the official installation diagram. 6. Missing UTP connection – Start Solar was unaware of the (possibility of a) UTP connection between the battery and the EMMA, as stated in the diagram. - Unprofessional handling and lack of solution-oriented action Start Solar did not take full responsibility for all these errors. Often, they tried to ignore the problems, blame others, or even hold me, the customer, responsible. Correcting the identified errors and commissioning the system were mainly self-inflicted, despite repeated requests to complete the service. There was insufficient willingness to help resolve the problems. - Refusal of service In my opinion, as soon as the technical complexity increased, the installer lacked the motivation to complete the project correctly, resulting in a customer-unfriendly and business-like attitude. As a result, my system did not function properly for four months. Even after I subsequently arranged for a Huawei expert on my own initiative, the installer demanded payment of the remaining amount before providing further support, even though the full amount was only due after complete completion. At the end of May, the installer even permanently halted work, which, in my view, violated the installation guarantee provided. Legal action ignored Despite initiating legal proceedings due to the damages incurred as a result of the repairs, Start Solar is ignoring any accountability. I was called "squeamish," and despite a previous waiver of the amount due after completion (which never happened), I'm now being threatened with debt collection if I don't pay the remaining balance. Furthermore, Start Solar refuses to communicate. Retaliation for reviews, intimidation. After I shared my experiences via Google and Trustpilot, Start Solar denied me access to my own solar app (!!) and threatened to disable the system entirely unless the reviews were removed. This is a blatant violation of consumer rights and constitutes intimidation.
