A very disappointing accounting firm. Last year, we asked Richard Schipper for advice on switching to a private limited company (BV). According to our own calculations, this would be more cost-effective. At the time, we were urged absolutely not to switch and advised not to become a BV yet. We switched to another accounting firm, and now it turns out we've lost €11,000 by not switching to a BV. Now they keep sending invoices, and every little question we ask is heavily charged. For example, in February, I hadn't received the 2020 annual statements, and these services are now being invoiced separately, even though they were still part of their 2020 services. The same applies to the fourth quarter's administration. It's now April, and they still keep sending invoices. It's truly appalling how this accounting firm treats its clients. I hope my story will help other entrepreneurs avoid doing business with this accounting firm.

Dear all, At the end of 2018, I enthusiastically started with Administratiekantoor Schipper after a good conversation. However, I quickly fell into a tangle of invoices, and as a small business owner, I ended up paying €2,000 for services they completely failed to deliver. All they did was tell me what VAT I owed, and they did absolutely nothing else. They repeatedly requested a deferral for income tax, and now it has to be done by a new accountant. They also failed to do all the reporting, with the exception of a few. They are a very poor accounting firm, and I am truly disappointed with a company that treats its clients this way. Please don't start this business. I switched to another accountant in October, but even then I had to pay an invoice that was so vague and full of duplicate fees that I was caught in a tangle. I paid again, even though nothing had been done and I even had to chase up VAT, etc. At one point, I didn't even dare call them anymore, because I had to pay for that too. I was paying for everything, and meanwhile, no work was being done at all. The test was that I blocked my account and they didn't even notice. It turned out they hadn't even looked at it for a long time. Now I switched in October, and now I'm already receiving an invoice from them for the emails they were supposed to send. And they keep going like this. I never apologized, and they never suggested how to restore my trust. It's truly a company that only sends invoices, but doesn't think about you at all. I hope my story serves as a warning to anyone considering having them handle their administration. I also had a contact person, and suddenly, in recent months, they disappeared, and the boss was handling the email correspondence. How awful for a starting entrepreneur. And definitely send another invoice in January to settle the situation.
