Melanie van der Pot, MT Administration, forgets to declare pre-filled income Melanie was supposed to file our 2023 tax return for us within an agreed-upon deadline. When asked about the status of the return, Melanie unprofessionally told me to take it easy and that she would file it with the tax authorities within the agreed-upon timeframe. Ultimately, she didn't keep her promise and had to request an extension. After submitting the request, Melanie received a message from the tax authorities stating that they were deviating from the tax return she had submitted. This was because she hadn't declared the pre-filled income from employment (business and employment). She initially explained that she had forgotten this and then that her software hadn't saved it. She also stated that it was my responsibility, since she sent me the draft first. Personally, I believe that mistakes are allowed where work is done, but to blame it on the software, the foundation of your entire business, afterward seems a poor move to me. To be fair, let's be honest; I had to pay taxes on the generated income anyway, but receiving such a notice afterward is less frustrating. It also had consequences when purchasing a home, where the financial services provider indicated that the income was just barely sufficient. MT administratiekantoor is al jarenlang mijn boekhouder. Ik ben uiterst tevreden met melanie, ze doet altijd nét een beetje extra. Naast mijn financiele administratie ondersteund zij mij ook bij het heropenen van mijn bedrijf door middel van goed advies en het opstellen van prognoses, jaarcijfers etc. Kortom, onwijs tevreden!
