Today, Montis Construction installed the dormer on the first floor. What a fantastic way to enlarge the bedrooms! The initial consultation with Laurens was effective, helpful, and above all, very friendly. He's a kind, calm, and competent guy. After the initial consultation, you knew exactly what to expect. A second consultation was held to ensure everything was clear. Bas and Jeff installed the dormer within a day. Measuring and sawing began at 7:30 AM this morning. Always, at least for me, a nerve-wracking moment; after all, the roof is being opened. Luckily, I didn't have to worry about the weather; it was well over 20 degrees Celsius and there was hardly any wind. At 10:30 AM, the crane arrived. Mischa, the crane operator, first lowered the rubble bags over the house. There was hardly any wind, so relaxing. The dormer was hung in the slings, and Mischa carefully hoisted the roof according to Bas's instructions. The dormer was placed in place calmly and securely. It's a matter of adjusting and tightening. Mischa neatly clears all the rubble bags onto the Montis trailer and departs. Meanwhile, Bas and Jeff are insulating the dormer window where the roof connections are made. Then, all the cracks are filled. On the outside, both men apply lead-replacement tape to the roof tiles to make everything waterproof. Jeff starts tidying up, and Bas adjusts the windows to their tilt-and-turn positions. A brief explanation about the insect screens and, in particular, the Somfy roller shutters with their corresponding frost warning. 2:30 PM sign-off, and everything is done. I chose to finish the interior myself. Montisbouw is a very pleasant partner to work with. Everything is explained clearly and effectively. The Montis team added a 60m² extension to our house (ground floor and first floor). They completed it on schedule and within budget (!). The communication was perfect. They really think along with you and give excellent advice (something I often hadn't thought of myself). Our neighbors were also very positive about them, which made the entire renovation much less stressful for us. I would 100% recommend them! I'm still incredibly excited about what they've accomplished.

They renovated our entire ground floor. They installed a new rear facade, moved the toilet, removed walls, and installed new ones. They were very transparent about the price and timeframe, and they also helped us explore the possibilities. They finished well within the specified timeframe. This meant the poured floor, plastering, and then the kitchen were all done on time. The workers were also friendly and professional. All in all, very satisfied!
