I must say that Rene was very quick in understanding our requirements when it came to the buying of house and came up with the options exactly according to our house wishes. Our RE/MAX broker, Martin Pereboom, is a very flexible and personable professional. I believe his support with finding and brokering a deal on our house in Zwaag was essential to the successful outcome. I would recommend Martin if you are looking to buy a home. And being from the UK and having lived/ worked in Amsterdam for a number of years it is a big step to move to unfamiliar surroundings - Martin has helped smooth this journey. I would also recommend Olaf at Huis and Hypotheek for excellent financial advice (if only I had found such an expert on mortgages a few years ago!) This is next door to the RE/MAX office in Hoorn.

I'd like to take this opportunity to compliment RE/MAX real estate agents, especially Tim van der Kruit and Marco Jonk, for their expert information regarding a free valuation on the appraiser's day (which ended up being last Thursday). Marco did that for me last year, and I followed up with Tim. I wanted to know how the market had developed specifically for our house last year. Both are very knowledgeable, as it turned out that the conversation with Tim unfolded exactly as it had with Marco last year, and everything aligned perfectly. Initially, there wasn't any money to be made directly, but nevertheless, both conversations resulted in a professional-looking, documented report.
