I wouldn't call it bad. I'd rather call it something completely different, which would be socially unacceptable. In that respect, it does align well with the services provided by this excellent organization. Making a mistake twice processing a provisional assessment, not being able to distinguish between the two, not being able to process email addresses, and ultimately getting nothing more than a credit note. "Apologies for the confusion"—nothing about the mistake, no guidance or understanding for the extra work, and the frustration that arose because management thinks the client should fill the QC role themselves—it's human work, after all. Otherwise, the client would be financially better off (the exact words). The only thing you hope is that the excellent employees no longer want to be associated with this organization. The world certainly has enough problems already, and this is just a minor incident. It's bad enough that they're in the global gene pool, that the search for intelligent life certainly doesn't begin there, and that calculators were probably invented because of a desperate cry from HTB's clientele. Don't let it get even worse just because they're allowed to provide their customers with this quality service. Or, as they themselves put it, "with a vision based on trust." ...probably slowly driving towards the abyss. The grass isn't always greener elsewhere, but there's certainly more grass than on this barren plain.
