A few weeks ago the parking lot of our apartment complex was cleaned and weed-free. Then all the loose leaves, sand and grass were blown between the parked cars with a leaf blower. The result was cars covered in sand, debris and leaves. This resulted in extra costs and time to get the (2) cars clean again. A complaint was filed, but for convenience' sake, no response was given. Very, very poor and unprofessional.

We requested quotes from several companies for clearing and landscaping the front garden, and we wanted to have it all taken care of from start to finish. After comparing the quotes, we made an appointment with Vaessen, where we discussed our needs and took measurements. We had an appointment scheduled at the property a few weeks later to select the tiles. I had an accident that left me on crutches. When the tile we were looking for wasn't in the display, Mark later brought several tiles to our house to show us and compare. Excellent service! The installation date was postponed due to staff illness, which was frustrating, but beyond anyone's control. They suggested a new date, and I suggested a different one because it fell into my vacation a few weeks later. This was immediately addressed and scheduled. On the day the work was due, the two employees arrived promptly, offered coffee, and got straight to work. They worked efficiently every day, were polite, and left everything tidy.

Just wait until they cause damage; only then will you know what kind of company you're dealing with. First, they simply try to ignore you. When that fails, they vehemently deny it. Only when you bring a witness and the nature of the damage proves difficult to deny do they reluctantly give in. Then the back-and-forth emails begin. They don't even bother to call. I provided all the requested information, including all my details, a completed claim form, and an official damage report, and then they do absolutely nothing with it. No, they tell me you have to pay the repair costs upfront! Of course, I'm not going to pay €1500 for the damage caused by Herman Vaessen in the hope of getting it back someday. So now I'm being forced to seek legal assistance. What a miserable and unreliable company!

The people carrying out the work are doing a good job, but the planning leaves much to be desired. The quote indicated a timeframe around weeks 33/34. After agreeing to the terms, this suddenly became September 28 and 29. Six weeks later, in other words. The demolition and clearing work was carried out on the 28th, but unfortunately, no fencing was installed the day after. This went wrong in the planning/communication with the third party. The fencing was then installed on October 3. Furthermore, I have seen no compensation for the delay in my project. So, if things go wrong, too bad and apologies, but otherwise, it is the customer's problem.
