It all started with a pleasant initial consultation. Tom Heller was very professional and understood our needs perfectly. We received a clear and concise quote fairly quickly. Installation was quick and the project was handled smoothly, even with our occasional changes. We are very happy with our dormer.

Tom and René built a beautiful attic for me. It was a wonderful collaboration. Communication was excellent and clear, and everything was done very neatly. The electrician and plasterer were also excellent and worked very neatly and quickly. I highly recommend Hellerbouw; they are very professional and customer-friendly.

In 2018, we had a dormer installed on two sides of the house, along with our immediate neighbors. The price also included the complete (interior) finishing. To the extent that Heller Bouw didn't perform this additional work itself, it was outsourced to other companies, which was agreed upon and went smoothly. Heller Bouw was and remained our point of contact, although communication during construction was often poor and slow. However, we, as well as our neighbors, were satisfied with the final result. However, a major drawback came to light, which we only discovered after the dormers were completed. And that point of criticism concerns: Absolutely no after-sales service, or so-called after-sales service. This included leak complaints within one year in our case, and shutters that stopped working properly in our neighbors' second year. Contacting them in writing is very difficult, and as a customer, Heller Bouw urges you to do so because you'll receive better and faster service. Hellerbouw always communicated correctly in writing, but agreements cannot be made or are not kept. Furthermore, Hellerbouw never provides feedback. In the case of our leak complaint, we had to contact them in writing several times, and to date, after about a year and a half, nothing has been done. Hellerbouw (intentionally) delays everything for so long, hoping that (former) customers will become discouraged and therefore drop out. Based on the aforementioned experiences, in which the complete lack of after-sales service weighs heavily, I personally would not recommend Hellerbouw.

Tom Heller came by on January 20, 2022. He was a friendly man. He indicated that he did have time for the job and that we would receive a quote by email. On January 28, 2022, I sent an email to Tom Heller asking when we could expect the quote. There was no response to this. I called, but got no answer. They didn't call back either. Subsequently, on February 15, 2022, I sent another email to Tom Heller indicating that I had not yet received a response. On February 16, 2022, I received an email back stating that they did not have time for our job. It would have been nice if they had indicated this immediately. I understand that there is a high demand for contractors at the moment and that larger jobs fetch more money, but this was a really big disappointment for us.
