Groenpand installed a PVT system with a heat pump and additional solar panels for us. We found it a very pleasant collaboration; both during the preparation and installation, they were very helpful in exploring the possibilities and meeting our needs. Above all, it was a pleasant installation week!

BEWARE OF GROENPAND The energy cooperative Wattnu operates in my municipality, Gooise Meren. This is a large volunteer organization with an excellent reputation. I signed up for their collective solar panel campaign in May 2023. Afterward, I received a call from Groenpand, Wattnu's preferred supplier. I received their questionnaire and indicated that my house is located in a protected cityscape. I also mentioned that I was 77 and very computer illiterate. The Groenpand website stated that they had installed more than 5,000 panels, and I assumed they were familiar with the installation regulations. An appointment was scheduled in August, and someone attended on my behalf. Groenpand didn't send a confirmation or a summary. I only received a quote for eight panels on my front roof. I accepted it and trusted Groenpand. The panels were installed on October 20th. My notification that my house is located in a protected cityscape was ignored. There was no further communication. On February 5, 2024, I received a letter from the municipality. They had found three violations of the 2022 policy rules. The panels were too close to the window and the eaves, and they were only allowed to be installed in a single layout. In my case, there were two. I had to bring everything into compliance with the policy rules. I sent the letter to Groenpand, which didn't respond. I also sent it to Wattnu, which tried to help me. I also hired a lawyer. On March 25, the municipality urgently reiterated its position. There was a lengthy discussion, unfortunately without any result. On October 29, I even received a penalty notice from the municipality: I had to pay €1,000 per week if I didn't have everything in order by March 2, 2025. I was shocked by this and hadn't imagined Groenpand could make such major mistakes on their own. "I had to submit a new environmental permit application and move four panels from the front roof to the back roof. I also sent this letter to Groenpand, which didn't respond. Later, they referred to the terms and conditions on their website. However, they listed four different types. None of these were ever given or explained to me. I supposedly hadn't carried out my duties. However, these were never communicated to me. Only later did Groenpand mention that I should have studied the 2022 policy rules and pointed out the relevant regulations to them. I engaged an expert for the environmental permit application, who ensured that it was granted. Groenpand was subsequently willing to move four panels to the back roof, but I had to pay €2,300 for this. I categorically refused. I didn't want to pay for a solution they should have implemented themselves from the outset. They eventually agreed to this. A deal was struck. However, they later discovered that there were additional costs. I refused that one too. It was eventually accepted, and a second deal was created. Finally, another department submitted a claim. I had to have 10 roof tiles on hand in case they were needed for the replacement. Otherwise, I would have been charged high fees. For that, I simply referred to both deals. All this trouble would have been avoided if the August 2023 meeting had been summarized and confirmed and the tasks I would have to undertake had been explained to me. They also mentioned a company that could carry them out. After all, I couldn't do it myself. In costs, I paid €6,351 to Groenpand; and €1,210 and €1,912 to lawyers, a total of €3,122. Everything was only arranged with the help of lawyers. I didn't include the expert's fees for the permit. Unfortunately, all of them. Apparently, sometimes you have to dig deep for energy savings and sustainability. Ton Steinz Naarden

After much deliberation (because it is quite a big step), we decided to go off gas and have an all-electric heat pump installed. Partly out of idealism, partly for practical reasons. Through word of mouth, we ended up at Groenpand for the purchase and installation. From the very beginning, the contact with Groenpand was pleasant. They took their time, thoroughly investigated the possibilities at our home, and were quick and clear in their communication. It was also very nice that they thought along with us and, where possible, took our wishes and needs into account to a great extent. We soon noticed that we were not only dealing with highly skilled professionals, but also with idealists who genuinely care about contributing to making life more sustainable and thereby saving our environment. Our house dates from 1980 and was not well insulated. Part of Groenpand's quote therefore consisted of insulating the part of the house we wanted to keep warm. The insulation of the walls and the installation of HR++ glass took place. Then came the days of installing the all-electric heat pump. We were dreading it a bit: four days of installation time seems long. To our pleasant surprise, we have rarely enjoyed having workmen in our home so much: nice, idealistic people, polite, friendly, and keeping the inconvenience for us to a minimum (because, naturally, it was inevitably cold and noisy for a while). After everything was neatly installed, the exciting question remained: will it function, will our house get warm enough, and will we be able to take a hot shower? And also important: will the outdoor unit not make too much noise for us and for the neighbors? The answer: Yes! Everything works perfectly and silently. It comes with a clear app that allows the pump to be controlled easily. After a few days, during which the system had to get up and running, and a few adjustments in consultation with Groenpand, we are very satisfied. A warm house, a warm shower, and a whisper-quiet outdoor unit. All in all: we are very pleased with Groenpand and recommend this company wholeheartedly and with conviction to everyone! Peter and Karin. PS Op de foto’s zijn te zien: de buiten unit en een convector met ingebouwde, automatisch werkende ventilatoren.

For two years now, we've been running our solar panel (4000kWh) and heat pump (4kW Techneco) combination to our satisfaction. By reducing gas consumption by 1800m³ and taking advantage of net metering, we've saved €5,500 so far. A huge improvement for the environment and for us.
