We bought manual roller shutters 12 years ago. However, every other year the belts broke and had to be replaced for repairs. That was already a hassle because Gouwelux was difficult to reach and always too busy. It was difficult to get an appointment, even though our room was darkened by a broken roller shutter. When the repair finally came, we were told we were using them incorrectly. After years, we finally used another company (which was difficult because companies only serve their own products and customers, so it was only possible on rare occasions) for repairs, and they told us that no internal guides had been installed, causing the belts to rub against the bricks of the cavity wall. I think that speaks volumes. And they kept telling us it was our fault, plus the frustration and recurring repair costs. You'd almost think it was a profit model.
