I stumbled across Jeroen from Freshpaint—and what luck! Jeroen is a skilled painter who, instead of using brushes, sprays the paint onto the surface. The positives: * Jeroen came to our home to see what needed to be painted and the condition of the window frames. He quickly provided a very comprehensive quote. * Communication via WhatsApp was easy and friendly. * Jeroen (and his colleagues) were very punctual and arrived at our door every day at the agreed-upon time. In four days, they painted an entire floor, including window frames and (interior) doors. * Additional work (in colors, in additional walls/wood that had to be removed) was no problem and was carried out in close consultation—of course, for an additional fee. * Because the paint was sprayed instead of applied with brushes, it is very smooth and even. * They took care of detailed work, such as painting behind electrical outlet covers, etc. Jeroen removed all these items himself and put them back up after painting. Are there any downsides? Yes, two: - There was some confusion about which colors Jeroen could and couldn't paint. Fortunately, we resolved this with the samples Jeroen had with him. If you hire Jeroen, I would advise consulting him thoroughly beforehand. - No one can be present in the rooms when the paint is being sprayed. You have to plan around this. We gave Jeroen the key and had him paint during our working hours. That being said, I would hire Freshpaint again in a heartbeat. I've already recommended them to a colleague, and they're starting work there in November.
