What poor quality! They connected the new boiler they ordered to a combined flue. Extremely dangerous. It was a combined flue with the one from the upstairs neighbor. The boiler kept backing up, and the CO alarm went off regularly when the upstairs neighbor's boiler was running. The inner pipe of the new boiler eventually melted completely due to the heat from the upstairs neighbor's boiler. See photos.

Photos were provided, including of the workspace itself. Everything was fine. The installers were at the house and informed us that we now had to remove the chimney ourselves because "it's difficult to reach" and "needs to be right in front of the boiler." This should have been done during every maintenance (?!) They took the new boiler and left. They had no understanding or help whatsoever. Luckily, another installer had time and arrived quickly. Needless to say, the chimney could stay! Photos before (provided to Eneco) and after (from another installer).

The technician arrived fifteen minutes before his scheduled time, and at that point, someone from another company was still there, so my attention was focused on them. I didn't appreciate the fact that someone else was there, nor that I couldn't calmly decide whether I wanted to spend €160 (which was actually €1 more because apparently bolts or whatever cost quite a bit extra). There was no advice on whether the boiler was worth the money. Customer service considered it my responsibility, but I expect a technician to offer some advice instead of just fixing everything. They already knew what was broken, so they could have informed me about the price beforehand. From there, they also know how old my boiler is, so... (and that was at least a week earlier because they're so inflexible with appointments). The technician didn't have it with them and had to leave to get it. When I asked why he didn't already have it, he started saying something like, "Isn't it resolved now?" The invoices are also quite unclear, which I wouldn't have received if they'd entered my email address correctly! I just want this by mail! Apparently, they change it behind your back, and you only get mail if your email address is wrong. Emails are easy to miss, don't mail! Eneco racked up some hefty fines for my father because of this! By not seeing the email, I didn't pay on time, and bam, I think I got an extra €160! Swindlers!
