Our move on October 19th/20th went perfectly. Marco and his team are skilled, careful, flexible, and customer-focused. Above all, they are professional movers. We couldn't have chosen a better company. Patrick from the planning department is also fantastic. He continued to answer our many questions cheerfully. In short, a fantastic moving company. Highly recommended.

We initially moved through a storage facility and were extremely satisfied with the service. The furniture went into wooden boxes and came out in perfect condition. We hired a handyman, and that was a fantastic solution for so many jobs. Every aspect went smoothly. One cabinet was damaged, and that was also resolved efficiently.

Don't do it! Don't do business with Dijkstra. We had a disastrous move. No permit had been arranged, so the moving van couldn't enter Amsterdam. As a result, the loading and unloading permit for the move itself expired. Disastrous. Afterwards, they claimed it was a misunderstanding and showed little initiative to rectify the situation. Never again Dijkstra.

Dijkstra came recommended by good friends I trust, so I already knew I wanted to work with them (especially since we're not very price-sensitive). On the day someone was supposed to come by to take stock of the situation for the quote—I'd already set aside time for that—I received a call 10 minutes before the appointment to say they couldn't make it and that it would be a week later. I told them that was fine, as long as they reserved the date. I was told the days I requested were still available, but that bookings would only be possible after the quote had been approved. After insisting, someone would come later that day. That was already inconvenient, as I work with clients myself and had deliberately reserved the agreed-upon time, and now I had to free up another hour. That afternoon, the owner came by for an hour to take stock of everything. The next day, however, I didn't receive a quote, just a list of prices, e.g., storage per cubic meter and hourly rate/mover, with no indication of the total cost. I called again: the quote would arrive after the weekend, Monday. Monday passes: no quote. I contacted them again: a quote is coming. Then, two days later, I get a call saying the dates I requested (which were still available a week earlier) are booked and asking if I can move a few days later. No, because I'd have to be out of the house by then. Result: a few hours of my time wasted, a lot of hassle, a week lost, and still no mover. The only silver lining is that I suspect a moving company that doesn't have its logistics so well organized beforehand can't run a move smoothly either. So maybe I'm better off with someone else. All in all, very disappointed.
