New window frames and a front door were installed today. We're so happy with them. This morning at 8:15 a.m., two friendly and hardworking installers arrived, and they worked so diligently and efficiently. Everything was finished by 1 p.m. We're very satisfied. Unfortunately, they've had a bad reputation in the past, but that's definitely in the past. @designbouw, thank you so much 🤗

In February we had our entire front and back facade replaced, and last week windows and frames started leaking. When we call, they can come by in 1.5 months, unacceptable.. they were supposed to call back, you guessed it, never happened.. 43k paid, and hardly any aftercare.. of course we let our legal assistance take care of this.. scandalous.. After mentioning our holiday and possible damages of many thousands of euros, the company suddenly had 2 options in the short term, special. Leakage fixed, a few months later a front door that no longer closes or locks, Jan and Anneman who can get in. Waiting time of 3 months, could at most be shortened to 1 month. Had to call in legal assistance again. They can cash in, but a good product - and or maintenance, service etc. does not exist with this party.

In 2006, I had Schüco window frames installed by Design Bouw, and so far I'm satisfied. Unfortunately, the company has been disappointing me now that there are problems with the film on the frame. They advertise that you won't have to worry about your frames for at least 40 years. Now the film on one frame is damaged, creating a large hole. The only solution offered is for us to hire a company to install new film for around €400. At our own expense, of course. The warranty has expired, and we're just going to see what happens next. Such a shame.

Oh, how we struggled to get the damage (€3500) repaired and reimbursed, even for almost 12 months after installation. We had numerous cracks and poor finishes back then. And we were certainly not treated kindly, even by a board member (almost a teenager). Now, a few years have passed. Two tilt-and-turn windows are leaking, and they had to come back several times for the front door because it was leaking severely, causing damage to the interior wall, skirting boards, and wooden floor. Dark orange spots can now be seen on the plastic where polyurethane foam was used/spilled. Recently, I discovered a 10cm section next to a window frame where no compression tape had been used. I could see the internal cover strip from the outside. There's also a section of compression tape about 20cm long at the front that's bulging out enormously. There's probably more. Insulate? The glass helps, but the finish definitely lets in a lot of cold. Just find another company.
