We have a large garden. Good maintenance is essential, otherwise it becomes a jungle. We do what we can ourselves, but sometimes you need professionals. This spring, the men from De Tuynderie carried out a number of jobs. Our mixed hedge had become overgrown, and trees needed to be pruned and pollarded. The result is exactly what we had expected. The hedge has been neatly trimmed, and the trees have been pruned back to manageable proportions. The De Tuynderie men know what they are doing and stick to agreements made. Over coffee, they make knowledgeable suggestions that work out well. The pruning waste has been shredded and neatly deposited in one spot. We use it on paths and in the greenhouse. What remains for the wood stove has been cut to size. Henk and his team will be returning soon to tackle our patio.

After receiving a good quote, the work was quickly completed despite the busy schedule. The work went smoothly, and it took two days instead of three. Now we just have to wait for the grass to grow! Thanks for your hard work! 👍🏻👍🏻

On April 6, I had a home visit regarding the removal of a bamboo bush. A quote was provided and approved by me. The spot in the garden had to be cleared to place a log cabin for my company. The delivery of this log cabin would take 3 to 4 weeks. But according to Henk Wissink, that was no problem at all; the job would have been finished long ago by then, he said. On Monday, April 16, I called again to ask when the job would be done. I hadn't ordered the log cabin yet. "I'll come by one evening next week," was the answer. I could certainly go ahead and order the log cabin. So said, so done. On Wednesday, April 18, I ordered the log cabin. Over the past few days, I have been in daily telephone contact with Henk Wissink; last week I was on vacation. On Monday, May 7, I called again; he said he would call me back as he was busy. However, at 11 p.m., still no phone call or message that he was coming. On Tuesday, May 8, I called again in the morning; he said he would call back shortly... 2 hours later, still nothing heard, so I called again. Henk was busy setting profiles; I shouldn't think he had time to answer the phone every time as well. "This is hard work," were his words. Agreements are not honored, the job isn't finished, and tomorrow I'm stuck with a log cabin delivery. Thanks for nothing, Tuynderie. I will never use this "company" again. Now I just have to see where I can find another reliable gardener on short notice. For the time being, I'll soon be stuck with a garden full of wood that is warping.

Unfortunately, we had a less than stellar experience with this company. The appointment for paving the driveway went completely awry. We were unsure when we called to check if the planned date was okay, and were told very nonchalantly that he wouldn't be coming that day for personal reasons (wedding...). After much annoyance and phone calls, the driveway was eventually paved by other guys. They promised to do this for the same price. NOT. We ended up paying €260 more because Henk Wissink completely failed to keep his appointment, and worse, he didn't seem to care at all. So, NEVER AGAIN for us.
