I had a great experience with Niels and the rest of the Hypotheekshop team while purchasing my first home! He has been extremely friendly, understanding and thorough throughout the whole process and beyond. I initially hesitated whether spending thousands on a financial advisor is justified, but the peace of mind and sense of security I had made it well worth it.

We had a great initial meeting. After about a year, we asked for a new calculation, and things got worse from there. They said they would contact us, but they didn't. Over a two-month period, I called five or six times to ask when we could expect a response, and each time they promised we'd actually call back. Unfortunately, I've never received a response. We finally called one last time because we're moving elsewhere, and were again promised a call back to finalize the details. We never heard anything about this again. The people who work there are nice and friendly, but unfortunately, at least in our case, no one actually helps us.

We had the pleasure of working with Niels from the Hypotheekshop. He has been so very patient and informative with our many questions throughout the entire home buying process— making us feel empowered every step of the way. All of the advice we have been given was thorough and our overall home-buying process was quick because of how attentive and action-oriented Niels and his colleagues are. We would not hesitate to recommend him, the support of Esther, and the Hypotheekshop overall. (PS I am also only an A2 level of Dutch speaking and Niels took the time to make sure I knew what was going on at all times).

Very good service, nice people, very helpful, always available and great advices. I had specific condition for the mortgage and they made it through, unbelievable job. Thanks a lot to all of the employees working at De Hypotheekshop Haarlem Centrum since I was talking to most of them specially Miranda and Natascha.
