I was initially swayed by positive reviews, was recommended by MoneyMonk, and initially had a good experience with the app subscription. However, David Muntinga repeatedly failed to honor agreements/statements regarding the processing of my income tax return (self-employed) from February/March 2024 to June 2025. The quality of the service was also limited (I had to proactively make several suggestions myself), and I had limited self-reflection. This cost me approximately €2,000 extra net by having David file my income tax return instead of my accountant, while I had hoped to save money by switching (due to the over €3,000 penalty interest, which could have been avoided and which I had alerted David to from the start). Below is my experience regarding income tax returns and communication via the app. My experience was one of asking more and more questions. And being proactive about getting everything arranged and providing the correct information. They certainly don't think proactively with you, and they don't provide thorough or partial information. Perhaps you can't expect that for that price. - But the false promises, the refusal to follow through on them, and the refusal to take responsibility are truly detrimental. - A brief insight into the situation: My previous accountant alerted me to the phenomenon of penalty interest, and he proactively wanted to arrange a provisional assessment with me to prevent it. I had David Muntinga handle it for me because I thought I could save money on my self-employed income tax return. He also told me that my turn would be "around April 2024" (only after that did I decide to leave my accountant). He then later said, "No, we'll be on time." When I checked if we could do anything about the provisional assessment and preventing these penalty interest payments, I patiently waited. Then, when I expressed my concern about the penalty interest and hadn't heard anything in May 2024, he texted back, "I'll prioritize the return. Then we can have it ready by next week at the latest." He assured me I couldn't do anything myself, so I trusted the tax return would be processed. I naively brushed aside my doubts, given the almost exclusively positive reviews, assuming he would have filed the tax return or arranged the provisional assessment (because I'd asked if I could do anything about it). Five months later, in October 2024, I checked again, only to discover that absolutely NOTHING had been done. - I had to repeatedly confront David about the previous messages and statements, because they dismissed it as "miscommunication." - Eventually (after persevering and not letting me be fobbed off), I did receive an apology. David was told that an earlier apology and acknowledgement would have worked wonders. David admitted that his internal affairs weren't in order, resulting in a huge backlog. He also said he would restructure the process for next year. - On October 14, 2024, he said, "I'll complete the application for you this week." This, again, didn't happen. - From December 29th, I actively picked up my income tax return again, repeatedly checking "Is the application working?" Finally, on March 25th, I received another apology because David STILL hadn't processed it. (Fortunately, he did offer an apology this time.) - I proactively checked again, making suggestions that were also more tax-efficient. - On April 23rd, 2025, I was finally able to approve the final version! - When I told David how much penalty interest I had to pay (after the tax authorities finalized the processing), he again received no apology and the suggestion that I should just have someone else do my next income tax return. Which actually fits a pattern. Some recognition and acknowledgement would have helped with the bitter aftertaste (in addition to a net loss of €2,000). Because the penalty interest of over €3,000 wouldn't have been necessary!

David patiently and attentively helped me through some accounting issues. He responded quickly after my initial contact request, allowed me to schedule an online support session on short notice, and was also very friendly when I had a final question. I'll definitely be back.

Without a doubt, 5 stars for me. For €130.68 per year, I have a support subscription for a year. I can contact the accounting coach with virtually any question I have. They respond faster through the app than I have to wait for my own accountant. Don't let a few bad reviews get you down!!!
