Today our dormer was installed by Daglichten. Due to circumstances, there was a slight delay in the construction and installation, but everything went smoothly! Professional men delivered a beautiful result.

In 2023, we approved the installation of a dormer window. Within a few weeks, we were asked for two down payments, even though the permit wasn't applied for until around June. This application turned out to have been submitted incorrectly, meaning the permit wasn't ultimately approved until much later in 2024. The dormer window wasn't finally installed until February 2025. This meant more than a year passed between approval and installation. Unfortunately, a year has passed and we still haven't received the screens. Furthermore, several roof tiles broke during the work, which caused leaks during snowfall. They promised to come and fix the problem, but no one ever showed up. We ended up having to fix the leak ourselves. What makes it particularly concerning is that the company has already been declared bankrupt twice. We also have the impression that negative comments are deleted, which means the rating (for example, a 3.4) gives a distorted picture of reality. Our experience has unfortunately been very disappointing. Agreements are not kept, communication is poor, and problems are not resolved. We recommend you think carefully before doing business with this company.

Update 10! Wow, 10. Just like that. Today is December 2nd. And the job still isn't done. What a joke this company is, and Ron in particular. He consistently fails to keep his appointments. He has a master's degree in lying and manipulation. The company has no money. He's currently trying to lure in clients to get money to clean up other messes. People, don't fall for this! Oh, and if you have problems too, contact me on Facebook! Together we're stronger! This man has to be stopped! Update 9 – November 7: Ron has been working for us since October 16th. We're now entering our fourth week and aren't even close to halfway through. The window frames don't fit, the workmanship is poor (it only becomes reasonable after an explanation), and part of our order is still missing. The house is full of junk from top to bottom, and we have no idea when Ron will continue. Hopefully, this fourth week will be the week I can finally close my new front door – in his face, so I don't have to see him anymore. Update 8 – October 16: Initially relieved that Ron arrived, but eleven days later, problems persist: the wrong windows, a frame that doesn't fit, and more missed appointments. No clarity about the schedule or follow-up. The house was in better condition before the work than it is now. Update 7 – September 10: Still no frames. Refunding the deposit is impossible because Ron doesn't have the money. He suggests that negative reviews are harming his income, while this is due to his own mismanagement. Update 6: Again, many promises, but no frames. Update 5 – July 30: Again, no window installation. As expected, no results; further steps are needed. Update 4: No installation again. Update 3 – July 16: Promises were made that the frames would actually be installed, but this didn't happen. Update 2 – June 10: This also wasn't expected to happen. Update 1 – May 19: Installation was planned, but obviously not carried out. "100% certainty" before June 10th turned out to be worthless. Our experience with Daglichten and Ron: What should have been a positive purchase – new window frames – was completely ruined by Daglichten. Since July 2024, this process has been riddled with delays, poor communication, and empty promises. Plans were constantly changed, agreements were broken, and Ron was often unavailable. Core values such as transparency and honesty were ignored. In short: all talk, but no value in delivering what was agreed upon. Daglichten has completely damaged our trust.

I waited a while to rewrite my review while waiting for my insect screens. To be honest, I had to wait quite a while for my windows, and out of frustration, I used harsh words, even calling them scammers. However, during the installation, I understood why you sometimes don't get a response—the team is busy with the installation and has their hands full. Everything was finally delivered, and I have to admit: the windows and the installation are of excellent quality. Therefore, my sincere apologies to Daglichten.nl for my previous review and comments. It was pure frustration from the wait. Thank you for the great work, and I hope you get extra reinforcements soon—you absolutely deserve it!

VLOK can assist with mediation and provides access to the Disputes Committee for Home Improvement Companies. The Disputes Committee's ruling is legally valid and binding for the affiliated home improvement companies and is usually cheaper and faster than going to court. My experiences with this company have been nothing short of terrible. The window frames were supposed to be installed in October 2025, and months later, they still haven't been installed, without any communication about the delay. I gave the company many opportunities to resolve this, but only received false promises, lies, and virtually no communication. Don't do it! Wij hadden een offerte opgevraagd bij DR voor nieuwe ramen en kozijnen. Damian is toen bij ons langs geweest om een offerte op te maken en ik had gelijk een goed gevoel bij Damian dus wij besloten de werkzaamheden door DR te laten uitvoeren. Dat is zeer professioneel uitgevoerd en wij zijn heel blij met het resultaat! Het ging allemaal zo voortvarend dat DR uiteindelijk min of meer de regie in handen heeft genomen voor de rest van de verbouwing. Zo hadden wij een nieuwe open keuken besteld en DR heeft alle stopcontacten en leidingen op de juiste plaatst gezet zodat de nieuwe keuken er zo in kon. Ook zijn de radiatorden eruit gehaald en is er een nieuwe vloerverwarming ingezet. O ja, en de oude WC eruit en een nieuwe erin. Het is eigenlijk teveel om op te noemen! DR heeft ervaring waardoor werkzaamheden in de juiste volgorde worden gepland. Wat ik heel fijn vond was dat je voelde dat je er niet alleen voor stond. Damian wil echt dat het resultaat goed is omdat het werk met liefde wordt gedaan!! Dus zeker aan te raden.

Na een eerste goede contact kwamen ze netjes inmeten! Nadat de spullen waren geleverd werd alles nog een keer goed nagemeten! De oude kozijnen werden zorgvuldig verwijderd en alles werd netjes opgeruimd! Daarna werden de nieuwe kozijnen geplaatst! Super werk geleverd en de humor van de werklui mocht ook niet ontbreken.
