Communication was fine from the start, but unfortunately, the execution of the job was very poor. Luckily, we were able to resolve the mess independently, but this is not recommended! It costs a lot of extra time, energy, and money because the contractors don't take enough time, scheduling multiple jobs in a single day. The result is a very messy-looking job, and that seems perfectly normal, judging by the impression they leave. When you point this out to them, they immediately go on the defensive without even taking a look first or responding to photos that clearly show no spacers were used during the grouting; instead, they were just haphazardly thrown in! It therefore looks like a premeditated method, which also constitutes an abuse of trust. If they do that to me, they will do it to you. Why not? But don't bet they laid it (or had it laid) so shoddily at their own homes!! A tape measure is foreign to them, as are cutting straight and laying the tiles level. The resulting sharp edges are dangerous for bare feet, even though the subfloor was laid perfectly level. What a shame! We're getting another 550 euros from them to get it fixed, so we don't have to hurt ourselves until we bleed... To top it all off, the shower drain was installed completely crooked, by just a few millimeters!
