I bought a house from this real estate agent. The sales text states that a room is fully insulated. Now it turns out that this room isn't insulated at all. When I ask what makes them consider it fully insulated, I get the response that they simply copied this information from the sellers. Since my question hasn't been answered (how is it insulated), I conclude that this real estate agent can't provide any evidence to show that this room is indeed insulated. So they simply publish sales text without verifying or wanting to verify the information. As long as the text is appealing, they're not looking at the facts. Furthermore, the prospective real estate agent didn't provide me with the correct information about a crack in the wall. Documentation from the sellers of the house indicates that there is a crack in the wall. When I asked about this during the viewing, the prospective real estate agent showed me another harmless crack. Later, I discovered a larger tear behind the curtains and sofa, which, in my opinion, was less harmless than the one the prospective real estate agent pointed out. I later brought this up again during the transfer of ownership, in the presence of my buyer's agent and the sellers. The prospective real estate agent dismissed it as an insignificant detail. I reiterated the above two points in a complaint email to the owners of the real estate agent because I felt very cheated by this course of events. However, I received a response I was not satisfied with. They dismissed the matter and indicated there had been a misunderstanding. No apology was offered in response to my complaint. It's a shame they provided incorrect information, which I believe was intentional. I am very satisfied with the purchase of the house, but certainly not with the sale by this agent.
