The process was absolutely no picnic. The job was to install a new central heating boiler, replace the flue, install a new thermostat, and hang and install an additional, separate radiator. It took four days in total. It was the middle of winter without heating, and thing after thing didn't work or simply wasn't done. On day 1, two men arrived and worked from 9:00 AM (an hour later than promised) until 6:00 PM, meaning I had to wait all day in the cold. Several things went wrong: they were missing essential parts from the van and had to wait constantly for them to be delivered. The radiator was also missing parts, but I wasn't told this, otherwise I could have resolved it in the meantime. He decided to improvise on his own initiative, which caused a leak at the connection point. He also wasn't familiar with the boiler, had to make numerous phone calls to a colleague about it, and wasn't configured for the size of my house. He didn't explain or tell me anything about it, and he didn't take any measurements. They also forgot to bring the new thermostat, so someone else was supposed to come the next day and install it "in a few minutes." On day two, someone showed up (much too late) with the wrong thermostat, which he installed even though he already knew it wasn't the right one (I noticed after the installation). The correct one would be brought later. He did test the boiler and said I had a carbon monoxide leak! This immediately meant a system drain and another day in the cold. He also said the flue hadn't been replaced at all. He couldn't do anything about it at that point, nor about the radiator leak. Day three: I'm really unhappy and shocked by the utter chaos that seems to constantly occur in communication between the employee and the employer. And a carbon monoxide leak is no joke! The flue is finally being replaced; it takes a while, but it works. The correct thermostat is also being installed. Other handymen are coming again. A few days later, a neighbor knocks on my door and says my chimney is completely crooked. This is caused by the flue installation. Something's wrong again, and they have to come back again. Unbelievable. Day 4: I ask for the same men again (the one who hung the radiator on Day 1 and the one from Day 3 who was working on my chimney on the roof). Finally, everything seems fixed. Being out in the cold so often in the middle of winter, constantly miscommunication and missing parts, things not being checked, measured, or explained... Most handymen are very friendly, and I get multiple apologies, but this is obviously not normal practice, and I would therefore not recommend this company.

We had BOAS install a heat pump in our home. The work was completed within a day and was done neatly. They also helped me with the subsidies I was eligible for, which was very helpful.
