Nothing to complain about. Everything went smoothly. As we saw, the real estate agent, in our case Kjeld Stadman in particular, has excellent knowledge of the housing market. He also helped us very well with various matters related to the sale of the house.

Subject to a building inspection, we purchased the (according to real estate agent Stadman Oosterhesselen) problem-free house at Dorpsstraat 19 in Gees. The inspection revealed various defects, deferred maintenance, and undisclosed leaks. Repair costs were estimated at approximately €22,000. The real estate agent proposed sharing this amount with the sellers. Stadman's response: No way, unless we indemnified the sellers against any future defects to the house. We considered this a blank check, and the purchase agreement was subsequently dissolved. Tip for buyers of Stadman homes: Don't fall for this. Hire an independent building inspector and don't have a local contractor recommended by Stadman perform the inspection.
