BEWARE!!! YOU'RE GETTING SCAMMED!!! The first few lessons were fine, I chatted cheerfully while driving, and I also received compliments on my steering and decisiveness. I definitely learned something, but the car broke down a few times. I suspect this was due to neglected maintenance. This suspicion stems from taking my interim test even though the tires were completely bald! The examiner almost canceled my test because of this. Erik knew his car needed new tires, but he simply put them off for too long. The tires that were fitted to the car at the time were also very poor quality and cheap tires that have little to no grip in the rain. I and other students are instructed to accelerate when driving off in certain conditions, and rightly so. But if the tires are so worn or of poor quality, this is impossible. And then you also get a remark for giving too much gas, because the car skids. The steering wheel wasn't perfectly straight while driving. This could have been addressed by aligning the car while changing the tires, but despite my advice, this hadn't been done. I then had Erik reschedule my practical exam, but two days beforehand, I was told that due to a CBR system that had gone haywire, my practical exam had been removed from their schedule. I immediately contacted the CBR, who told me there had been no recent problems with their system. After a lengthy conversation with the CBR, I came to the conclusion that my exam had never been scheduled! This also caused my theory exam to expire, as the next opportunity was 10 days after the expiration date. I'm very upset that Erik is negligent about the general maintenance of his car, and then lies about why my exam wasn't happening! This has cost me a lot of time and money, and I have to take everything again. Update after 2 years: I advise everyone against taking lessons at this driving school. I recently passed my driving test on the first try at Dekkers Driving School! And even with fewer than 20 lessons, while I failed after almost 50 with Erik. Erik still drives the same 5th-generation Opel Corsa, which must have at least 400,000 km on the odometer. His car is long worn out. 400,000 km is already a considerable amount of mileage, let alone if only students drive it! Combined with the sloppy maintenance of his car, there's a good chance you'll miss lessons because the car is in the garage. Save yourself a lot of headaches and find a driving school with a more modern car!

The best driving instructor you could imagine; he takes his time and is incredibly patient with you! I was always terrified of driving on the highway, but thanks to Swinkels Driving School, I overcame my fear after my first lesson!😬

Swinkels Driving School is highly recommended if you live in Eindhoven or the surrounding area! Eric is very reliable (never sick or with a broken car) and honestly tells you when you're doing something right and when you're doing it wrong, he'll do it right!
