We had Van Rietschoten Bouw from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht carry out a major renovation on our house. From a new bathroom to making the house completely sustainable. They worked for over three months. Of course, things sometimes happen that make you think things could be better, but this surpassed everything. We finally asked one of the employees to leave and that we didn't want him working for us anymore, leaving a trail of brutal violence with a hammer and crowbar. Van Rietschoten Bouw (Ruud, the owner) thought it wasn't too bad. Upon final completion, there were a few issues we weren't entirely satisfied with. But even here, Van Rietschoten Bouw (Ruud) thought it wasn't too bad and ultimately didn't do anything about it. Meanwhile, a year and a half later, one morning we had an electrical fire in the meter box. We quickly concluded that it was caused by a leak from the bathroom that Van Rietschoten Bouw had installed. I called Ruud again, but he hasn't been available to date. He doesn't answer the phone, doesn't respond to voicemail messages, and doesn't reply to WhatsApp messages. He doesn't even respond to forwarded photos of a blackened meter box. Great experiences! We had the renovation of our ground floor carried out by Van Rietschoten Bouw, including: moving the kitchen from the front to the back (incl. plumbing / drainage / electrical work), plastering the ceiling and walls, painting, renovation and extension of the parquet floor, track lighting, interior doors, etc. Van Rietschoten Bouw does not have its own staff for every discipline, but works with reliable professionals from its own established network. As a result, they may not be a budget provider, but you do get quality in return. Furthermore, everyone was pleasant to deal with and well-informed about the necessary work. The coordination between Van Rietschoten and the team of professionals is good, and the completed work is carefully assessed by Ruud. Ultimately, we stayed ahead of schedule, which is rare. There were a few minor remaining issues, but those were taken care of as well. Ruud is very accessible, proactive, and acts quickly. In short, highly recommended.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we initially contacted them by phone. From there, Ruud was able to provide a good quote. Later, Ruud visited us and we discussed the renovation in detail. The three Van Rietschoten team members worked quickly and efficiently. They thoroughly discussed everything with us before we even started. The men delivered very neat work. The plasterers and electrician also did a fantastic job. We definitely recommend this company!
